Saturday, May 6th 2023 is a day to celebrate all things fly here at The Saltwater Edge! The season is coming into full swing so this is a great time to get excited.

We have a great lineup of events here at the shop and in Newport. 

If you have ever wanted to cast a Hardy or Greys Fly Rod our local rep will be on hand for test casting and answering questions. This is a great opportunity to cast some different rods and decide what works for your next fly rod.

For the fly tyers out there we will have on-hand tying demonstrations. If you have ever wanted to ask a professional tyer a question this will be a great day for that. Tying demonstrations will include flatwings and gamechangers. 

101 and Advanced Casting Clinics will also be available throughout the day with advance sign up required. Angler are encouraged to bring their own gear; but a few loaner rods are available. Sign up for casting clinics here.

In the evening the Fly Fishing Film Tour will be at the Jane Pickens Theater in Newport, RI. If you haven't been to one of these events before they are a great time. Get your tickets here
