We always like to look back at what sold best here at The Saltwater Edge, usually there aren't any surprises but occasionally something new will stand out. This year we thought it would be fun to show you some of the most popular products in a few different categories.

Surf Rods:

Surf rods are usually our most popular rod style and this year was no different. No real surprises in this category and great to see the brands we trust going strong.

Spinning Rods:

Spinning rods are our second most popular style rod here at SWE. We saw some new brands come into the shop this year but the classics reigned supreme.

Conventional Rods:

We typically don't do as many conventional rods but with the amazing bottom fishing and tuna jigging we had close to home this year we saw a lot more of these rods go out the door.

Spinning Reels:

Numbers one and two are no surprise this year. It was great to see the Van Staal VSX2 gain popularity, it's definitely our favorite new reel at the shop.

Conventional Reels:

This was another category we saw gain popularity this year, there is so much great jigging around us that it's hard not to jump on the bandwagon.

Hard Lures:

These should come as no surprise to anyone who shops with us. These lures continue to be the best year after year.

Soft Plastic Lures:

 We sell a ton of soft plastic lures at the shop, sometimes it feels like an actual metric ton. We did have a shakeup in the soft plastic category with the Gulp! Swimming Mullet taking the place of the Gulp! Saltwater Grub.

Flies:

We had a new fly to the shop take the number two spot this year, and it's tied by one of our employees Devin Donahue. It was interesting to see the most popular flies mimicking small bait and targeting albies and fall run bass.
