Patagonia Guidewater Backpack 25L

25 liters. IPX-7 fully submersible. 800-denier TPU-coated recycled nylon.

The Patagonia Guidewater Backpack 25L is fully waterproof and genuinely submersible — IPX-7 rated to one meter for thirty minutes — for anglers who need certainty that gear stays dry when a wade goes deeper than planned. Durable 800-denier recycled nylon, TPU-coated front and back, handles years of hard use from rivers to saltwater flats. A removable padded hip belt and ergonomic back panel distribute the load for long treks in and out of the water, and an integrated net scabbard keeps your net secure and out of the way.

Care & Use

  • S, M and L are torso lengths — all three carry the same 25 liters. Choose by back length, not by how much you pack
  • Machine wash warm, tumble dry low; do not bleach
  • Close the main seal completely before wading deep — the IPX-7 rating depends on it
  • Rinse and dry fully after saltwater use, especially the buckles and lash points
  • Store dry and uncompressed to avoid creasing the TPU coating

Why We Like It

IPX-7 is the meaningful step up from water-resistant — this is the pack you take when a slip means a swim and your camera is inside. At 25 liters it stays a day pack rather than a haul bag, and the sizing by torso length rather than volume means it actually rides right.
