Airflo Superflo Sniper 4 Season Fly Line

Ridge 2.0 technology. Dual-density heads. Four-season polyurethane coating.

The Airflo Sniper 4 Season is the saltwater fly line built to throw big flies further, in a wider temperature range, for longer than typical lines. The Ridge 2.0 technology profile reduces guide friction and tangle risk on every cast. Airflo's unique polyurethane coating handles cold-water spring striper season as well as hot August blue water without going stiff or melting. The dual-density heads (Inter/Di3 and Di5/Di7) deliver maximum line control: faster sink at the tip, slower transition in the middle, ultra-thin running line at the back. The result is better hook-up rates and a more controlled presentation when the fish are sitting deeper than the surface.

Key Features

  • Ridge 2.0 technology — reduced friction in guides, fewer tangles
  • Polyurethane coating — performs across a wide temperature range
  • Extended rear taper for additional control
  • Hard-wearing haul zone for durability
  • Dual-density sinking versions for precise line control
  • Five head configurations available (Float, 6' Inter Sink Tip, Intermediate, Inter/Di3, Di5/Di7)
  • Three weights: WF-8, WF-9, WF-10

Rigging & Use

  • Floating Head: surface and shallow-water work — striper on poppers, schoolie work
  • 6' Inter Sink Tip / Floating Head: the most versatile option — tip gets the fly down, floating running line stays manageable
  • Intermediate: just under the surface — the everyday Northeast striper line
  • Inter/Di3: targeting deeper water (5-10 ft) — albies sitting below the chaos
  • Di5/Di7: fast-sink for deep water and current — big striper, blues, tuna
  • Match line weight to your rod — WF-9 covers most 8-9wt setups

Why We Like It

Airflo's polyurethane coating is the real differentiator vs. PVC-coated lines — you can fish PU lines in 35-degree March striper water and 85-degree August albie chaos without the line going stiff or losing its profile. The dual-density heads also matter for the depth-targeted work most Northeast saltwater fly anglers do. The Inter/Di3 is the line we recommend most for albacore guys working scattered fish.
